Project Objectives:
- To reduce the vulnerability and exposure of communities to all hazards thru resettlement and relocation of families and schools to safer areas.
- To capacitate PDRRMC member agencies, LDRRMOs, and other stakeholders for effective DRR plan and programs.
- To strictly comply with the existing national and local laws an environmental protection/preservation, building code, land use planning, ECC, etc.
- To implement reforestation projects/activities ensuring the preservation and restoration of forest covers and watershed areas.
- To prevent flash floods and extreme flooding to communities and agricultural areas.
- To mitigate the possible effects of El Niño in priority areas.

DISASTER PREPAREDNESS PROGRAM

Project Objectives:
- To develop a comprehensive emergency management system supported by policies, guidelines and procedures that will encompass all types of hazards.
- To enhance and strengthen the knowledge and skills of communities, volunteers, partners and stakeholders through continuous capacity building and information dissemination.
- To increase the level of awareness of communities to the threats and impacts of all hazards, risks, and vulnerabilities.
- To establish needed facilities such as evacuation centers and operation centers equipped with sufficient materials, tools, equipment, supplies and manned by well- trained camp managers and volunteers.
- To ensure that evacuation routes, disaster signages, and early warning systems are always in place.
- To ensure the presence of contingency plans in any type of disaster.
- To organize Barangay Disaster Volunteers who shall act as frontliners in disaster response.
- To ensure the availability and sustainability of logistics, funds, and other resources in times of emergency or disaster.
